Excellent! I myself just booked a flight this morning, albeit in the opposite direction, to visit some friends in that small continent with many languages.
S- Three places I've never been. I've always wanted to go to Ireland. One of my sisters lived in Cork for 6 months... and my parents have been there a couple times. I hear you shouldn't kiss the Blarney Stone... lots of different colors of lipstick on it (gross!)
Berlin's always intrigued me too. The parts of Germany I've seen... I've liked... I'm interested in seeing if the city's contrasts between E & W...
Well, they're actually all places I've never been...southeastern England (spent most of my time previously in Scotland) is new to me. I used to live in Germany but only in the far southern region. Never got that far north. While I've been to Prague numerous times, I've never made it to Slovakia. But as long as my friend is over there teaching english, I might as well visit her. As for Ireland, I have never been there...but it is on my list...
Kate - no foolin'? Gee, Ms. Kate, you're the bestest!
spydrz - you haven't spent time in southern england? How soon we forget the few days we spent in London. I realize that one may not want to remember that we stayed at that shitty youth hostel, but the smell of dirty towels is seared - SEARED - into my brain.
I'm hoping to go visit Shamrock after the bar exam sometime. Hopefully Virgin Atlantic will extend it's cheap fares past March. I swear, that's the best airline that I've ever flown: movies on demand, Nintendo, great music, sexy stews.
I flew Virgin when I went to London for Xmas/New Years a few years ago. Lemme tell you, none of those flight attendants looked like Virgins. My sister and I took full advantage of their liberal drink/wine bottle distribution. We were able to sit several rows behind the 'rents and the youngest sister. We, fortunately, scored some nice digs in Kensington... but it -was- with the fam... and very Clark Griswald.
Thank you to Kentucky for not only beating Vandy but also makin' them looking foolish, wimpy and weak. Ah, that was great to see. And the Vols won a game....it looks like armageddon is upon us!
But at least you get a trip to Vegas before the apocolyse! :-)
Is that you, Michael, masquerading as an annonymous poster? ;)
Yes, well... we sure did slam the 'dores. I think I can still hear the echoes reverberating from Rupp Arena! Uhhh... you wanna place a wager on the TN game?
Micah, I don't know when that happened...I was stuck in the middle seat in the front of the plane with no way to get out, and my neighbor spilled red wine all over me just as dinner began...
NO WAY! You're going to Vegas again! What are you going to wear THIS time? Ooo...I can hardly wait for the pics and the stories! I am thinking about taking the boys for spring break (it's just a four-hour car ride from here). They love going "pool hopping"--as in we stay at Mandalay for a day or two, MGM for a day or two, etc. etc. Maybe we'll see you! If we do, I'll run the other way so the crazy woman in pink and green with the two little kids doesn't spoil all your fun... I am SO happy for ya'.... And I take it you're feeling better?

Going to see Shamrock (a contributor on my blog) in England...an old buddy in Berlin...and a good friend in Slovakia.

Virgin was a fun airline to fly...this time, however, I'm flying Icelandic...which means a mandatory stopover in Reykjavik...

Yes, all of the Virgin Atlantic flight attendents are HOT. Sir Richard Branson knows what he's doing.
spydrz - was it on the Virgin flight that Kandace was denied wine?
